Strategic agenda
Co-creation of entrepreneurs, education and government
The essence of Regio Foodvalley is the cooperation between government, entrepreneurs and education. What do the parties want to achieve together? And how will we achieve these results? That is the core of the Strategic Agenda Region Foodvalley. A committee, in which entrepreneurs, education and government are each represented, established the new Strategic Agenda 2020-2025. It is the framework for the programmes and projects that we work on within Regio Foodvalley.
The main ambition formulated in the Strategic Agenda is for Regio Foodvalley to be a top region in the field of agriculture and food by 2030. A region where people are significantly healthier, like to live, do business and innovate and where circularity is common. This will be realized through intensive cooperation between entrepreneurs, education and the government on seven strategic themes. An economic board will be appointed to follow up on the progress in each of these themes.
Our 7 strategic themes
Agricultural transition and a vital countryside
Sustainable transition to healthy farms and a vigorous countryside through innovation, research and education.
Nutrition for a healthy life
Creating an environment in which healthy and sustainable food contributes to a healthy life for its inhabitants.
Energy transition
Regio Foodvalley is working on the energy transition from the regional DNA in a way that reinforces our strength. The aim is to be energy neutral by 2050.
Human Capital
Working on an optimally functioning labour market with attention to the full width; for each employer, for each talent and in each phase of life.
Innovation, cluster formation and circular economy
Future-proofing our regional economy by utilizing new technologies (such as robotisation) and sustainable use of raw materials (zero waste).
Physical preconditions (economy and transport)
Attracting companies to our region by being optimally accessible by car, public transport, bicycle and digitally. And by offering each company the right location.
Quality of living (living, urbanization and landscape)
Offering a more attractive environment to live and work with plenty of space for nature and landscape. This is important condition for attracting and retaining talent to this area.
