What we do
The European top region in the field of agri-food
The aim of Regio Foodvalley is to become and remain the European top region in the field of agri-food by strengthening the business climate and the quality of the living environment. To achieve this goal, the eight municipalities of Barneveld, Ede, Nijkerk, Rhenen, Renswoude, Scherpenzeel, Veenendaal and Wageningen work together with two provinces, educational and knowledge institutions and entrepreneurs in the region.

Strategic agenda
The main ambition formulated in the Strategic Agenda is for the Foodvalley Region to be a top region in the field of agriculture and food by 2030. A region where people are significantly healthier, like to live, do business and innovate and where circularity is common.

EU Office
The Foodvalley Region is actively involved in European cooperation through its EU Office in Brussels. Our office is housed in the House of the Dutch Provinces (HNP) and focusses on agrifood related topics. For all other relevant EU topics, we work together with colleague experts in the HNP.

This is a long-term collaboration between the Dutch central government and eight parties from the region to achieve healthy and sustainable food for everyone
